3 Big Ideas to Improve the World

I wanted to share some of my big ideas to change the world:

  1. Allow everyone globally to compete in a fair free market system.  This fair free market system would apply to both politics and economics.  All elections in all countries would be held and monitored by a strict global agency that would be very transparent in all of it’s methods and security protocols to ensure the fairest election and each vote counts appropriately.  All economics would be on the same basis – government contracts would be required to go out to public bid and the decision on who to select would be made publicly.  All regulations would be checked by an international agency for fairness and to make sure that there was no special favor laws and regulations for certain groups.  This system would allow each individual across the world to compete fairly and freely.
  2. Open all borders by force if necessary. If people don’t have to stay in bad countries like North Korea or Iran, they could just freely move to whatever country they wished to live in. This would cause bad regimes to collapse because they simply would deflate from lack of population. It would also bring less expensive labor in to rich countries helping their economies as well.
  3. Build a global police force with teeth that can deal with major war criminals in Africa, as well as bad individuals in power in other countries.

Web Design Scope of Work

One of the toughest aspects of running a web design business is determining a clear scope of work and sticking to it.  Client’s hate when there is more work required than initially estimated and costs change, web designers hate when they get stuck with lots of rounds of changes and end up working for $5 per hour.  What are your ideas on controlling this?

Hawthorne CA Web Designer – Quick & Reliable

Call me now to discuss your web design & SEO strategy at 310-736-2848

If you own a business in Hawthorne, California, and you are looking for a designer to design and build a web site for your company, there are a number of options available. Not only are there many designers in and around the Hawthorne, CA area, but there are also web designers across Los Angeles and Orange County that you could work with to launch your company’s online presence. With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start looking, or even what to look for. While you will never really know until the site is up and running whether your Hawthorne, CA web designer did a good job, there are few things you can keep in mind while you are searching, in order to get the right person for the job.

1) It’s not all about experience

When you are working with a technical person, experience counts. You want to know that they have been around long enough to see when things go wrong with computers, cars, plumbing, or electricity, and lived to tell about it.

When you are working with a creative person, experience doesn’t count as much as flexibility. You want to know that your Hawthorne, CA web designer is capable of thinking in new and creative ways, so that you don’t end up with the same website as his last client, but with a different color scheme and logo.

In fact, older designers may have been doing it for so long that they are stuck in a creative rut, and have a few templates that have worked well for them in the past, that they now use over and over. If you don’t mind having a well-tested template and design approach, then older designers are a fine choice. But if you are looking for creativity and flexibility, you can really get something unique from younger, less experienced designers.

Younger designers are also more likely to have gone to school and have a degree in web design or at least some kind of creative, design-related discipline. In the early days of the web, a number of people sort of fell into web design as their companies decided that they needed a website, but didn’t quite know how to build one. They have likely picked up the skills and latest techniques of website design along the way—every good professional should keep current on the trends in his or her industry—but more recently-minted Hawthorne, CA web designers will have fresher experience with the new ideas, and not be as stuck in the older ways of doing things.

2) Look at the portfolio

That being said, it is important to know that your Hawthorne, CA web designer knows what he or she is doing. That’s why you should ask to see his or her portfolio at your first meeting. If possible, you should be able to look at your Hawthorne, CA web designer’s own page and see the range of work that he or she has done, even if it doesn’t include a ton of live sites. You should also check to make sure that your Hawthorne, CA web designer has some basic web-design skills like HTML, CSS, and Java, as well as Flash, if you want your site to be a little more complex. Your web designer should also employ or be able to recommend a good graphic designer and a copywriter, specifically one with some knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) writing.

Perhaps more importantly, though, is that looking at a portfolio will let you understand your Hawthorne, CA web designer’s style. Before you sign up with a web designer, you want to be sure that they have the stylistic sensibilities that are going to be able to fully represent your business. You don’t want to work with a web designer that has a completely different aesthetic and design philosophy than you, no matter how experienced he or she is.

3) What do they charge?

How much your Hawthorne, CA web designer is going to charge you for a job is an important question to ask. But that doesn’t mean that it should be your first question. Talk to them a little bit about their approach, what they include, and what kind of pre- and post-launch service they provide. That way, when they give you the actual figure, you have some concrete details attached to it. That being said, there are some things to keep in mind:

-       Don’t ask a designer to work for free. Yes, creative people need to build their portfolios, especially ones that are just starting out. But they also need to eat and pay rent. Besides, when was the last time you actually got something good for free? This website is going to be the face of your business on the internet – and you get what you pay for.

-       Don’t overpay either. If your Hawthorne, CA web designer’s office is furnished with designer furniture and water fountains, you are probably in the wrong place. Ask them who their clients are. If they work with a lot of large companies and expensive services, they are used to billing at a higher rate than you are likely to want to pay.

-       A typical going rate for a professional site is typically $125 per hour but keep in mind that this can vary. They might charge more for landing pages and less for product pages, or pages with more graphics and copy might cost more than those with less. Therefore, it is a good idea to ask for a specific breakdown of why they charge what they do. Also, receiving a set quote upfront, instead of relying on hourly billing may also save you from a big surprise in the end.

Like any buying decision for your business, there are probably a number of right decisions, and countless wrong ones. But if you ask a few basic questions up front, you will have a good idea of who your Hawthorne, CA web designer is, and what they have to offer your business.

Volusion ecommerce vs. Shopify ecommerce

With all the online shopping done today, it is important for merchants to have a professional, elegant and completely running storefront.  I have thoroughly analyzed and reviewed shopping cart ecommerce software to find the best ones. There are dozens of shopping carts available in the market, but Shopify and Volusion ecommerce sets themselves apart form others with their wide set of features, easy-to-use functionalities and affordability. Let’s dig in deep on both of them.
Shopify is an ecommerce service that aims small online retailers to get a store up quickly and start shipping as soon as possible. It provides all the basic features needed for a small retailer while still being very easy to use. Shopify is more than a shopping cart – it is a hosting solution as well. Being a hosted solution, Shopify takes care of all installation and upgrading system. Shopify’s hosting infrastructure is reliable and fast, and it gives you an additional option to host your own store with your own domain name. All other issues such as bandwidth and security are addressed in the software package, so all you need to take care of is the online store.
Shopify offers a bulk of upload facilities. The product form is easy to use and you can upload multiple pictures per product using the bulk loader. Apart from this, you can create products of different variation in size and weight. Product can be divided into categories as well as tagged. Shopify also have many design templates that can be sued as it is or modified if desired. One other advantage is that Shopify is affordable, and thus makes it one of the popular choices to buy.
Volusion is all-in-one shopping cart solution, which gives you 24/7 live support, variety of professional templates, free live software upgrades, security alerts, step-by-step training videos and many other functionalities. With Volusion, you can create features like wish list, or email item information to a friend or even post customer reviews.
Volusion offers a long list of features that are user-friendly and help simplify the shopping experience of a user. Volusion offers comprehensive ecommerce solution as it gives you the ability to take phone orders from merchandises and issue credit cards from the store panels. It has great SEO features to enhance store’s online presence. You can now create HTML pages, use keywords in titles and generate a site map automatically. Volusion is also integrated with a lot of social networking websites and news sources.
Shopify and Volusion both offer reliable and dependable shopping cart systems with template designs, report functionalities and all the basic functionalities that satisfy the needs of a users. They aren’t costly, and yet, easy to use. My favorite is definitely Shopify at this point in time.

Abortion Protestors Are Cowards

Abortion protestors are cowards.

Not because I disagree with their beliefs.

Their beliefs state that fetuses are human beings.  If they really believe that fetuses are innocent, helpless human beings than they are allowing murders to take place.  Instead of trying to stop these murders, they merely hold signs and chant slogans.

Abortion protestors are the moral equivalent of the next-door neighbors to the German concentration camps during WW2. They might not like what they know is going on, but they do nothing about it.

Makes me think that abortion protestors are on much worse moral ground than those that they protest.  Abortion doctors believe fetuses are just tissue a part of the woman they are performing the abortion on.  Abortion protestors believe that real human beings are getting spooned out women’s bellies.

Ban Privacy Now: Powerful New Organization

Today is a grand day… I am officially founding the “Ban Privacy Now!” organization.

As the President, CFO, leading advocate and only member of Ban Privacy Now (BPN) I am proud to announce that our sole purpose will be the outing of child molestors and their nefarious advocates (pro privacy organizations) everywhere and eliminating laws that support privacy online and offline.

The BAN PRIVACY NOW hitlist is as follows:

  1. Privacy Rights Clearinghouse
  2. Electronic Privacy Information Center
  3. Inform IT
  4. Privacy Alliance
  5. Network Advertising Initiative
  6. Privacy Foundation
  7. Online Policy Grop
  8. Privacy International

All of the above organizations directly contribute to allowing the continued hiding of mob bosses, badly behaved politicians, corrupt pastors, two-faced bosses, white supremacy groups, black supremacy groups, and many other evil people doing bad things.

What can we do about it?  We should fight them in the courts, in Congress and through the power of the mighty Internets.  We are fighting the most powerful company on the internet – Google Itself (I capitalized Itself since Google is now self-aware) and Google now wants all Adwords users to publish “Privacy Policys” on their websites.  Screw that.

Right now you are asking yourself should I join Ban Privacy Now?  Make up your mind by answering yes or no to the following questions:

  • Do you have a 1.3 terabytes of child pornography on your computer?
  • Have you played doctor after the age of 18 with someone under it?
  • Is your name Joel Osteen?
  • Do you cry yourself to sleep at night because of your horrible crimes?

If you answered YES to any of the questions, Ban Privacy Now is not the organization for you.

However, if you said NO to all 4 questions then you should join Ban Privacy Now.

Are you in?

(If you don’t join by saying “I’M IN” in the comments under your real name, the rest of us will know what you do at night)

Does Religion Support Evolutions Goals?

Most religions have two central commands to their followers that also coincide with the central goals of biological life:

  1. Have as many children as possible.
  2. Spread yourselves around geographically.

Religion causes people to do evil things to one another and limits the progress of humanity in many ways, but it has survived in part by espousing the central commands above. ‚

Is religion a necessary tool for the survival of biological life?

Businessmen are the Best Men

I have gotten so tired of people constantly ragging on businesspeople and claiming that they will save the world through their volunteering, traveling, hippy living or other generally jobless activities. ‚ Bullshit. ‚ Volunteering is masturbation for the ego. ‚ I know hippies who care about the environment and only eat organic foods… only to drive several hours back and forth from home twice a week.

Businessmen on the other hand openly state that their primary motivation is selfish: They want to make money. ‚ Many of them also want to help the world in some way by providing a quality product or service, but that is a secondary benefit.

So why do I say that businessmen are the best men?

Almost everything that makes your life good comes either directly or indirectly from people in business. ‚ The car that swiftly and reliably takes you hundreds of miles to visit your family in another state was designed, manufactured and sold by businesspeople. ‚ The healthy/tasty/organic/fast/bulk food that you eat every day for very low prices came from businessmen. ‚ The job that enables you to take care of your family, obtain medical care and a plethora of other products and services all came from entrepreneurs. ‚

Most products and services in America are provided by businesspeople. ‚ Think about it: you live like a king would have lived less than a hundred years ago even though you are probably just middle class today. ‚ You actually have access to more & better products, services and information than even the wealthiest and most powerful individuals did. ‚ You have high quality medical care (not witch doctors & leaches), tasty food from around the globe (“what’s a banana?”), rapid travel worldwide (airplanes, cars, trains, fast ships), the internet, etc.

Businesspeople are even partially responsible for the freedom that we enjoy. ‚  It is in a businessperson’s best interests to maintain free trade, free speech and small government because it enables them to make more money easier.

People who disdain or fear businessmen generally don’t understand them or how the world works. ‚ These are the people who go do UN aid work in Somalia… basically helplessly trying to treat symptoms while ignoring the disease. ‚ In many of these countries mired in poverty, simply establishing a system with free trade and free speech protections will lead to most of their other problems getting resolved by businesspeople. ‚

Americans should be desperately afraid of what is happening now in our country: businesspeople are being persecuted and the government is destroying their entire class. ‚ Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama are eliminating free trade by bailing out companies that should fail and vastly expanding government power. ‚ If you think working for your boss under free enterprise is bad, wait till your boss is Big Brother and it is impossible to leave your job if you don’t like it. ‚ America is rapidly nationalizing products and services and turning into a totalitarian country.
