Flag Football Huge Playoff Win

The Screaming Eagles (my team) won one of the longest playoff games in Underdog Sports League Seattle’s history last night. Our playoff flag football game stretched through 5 college style overtimes. In a college style overtime, each team gets the ball from 20 yards out and 4 downs to score with and the opportunity to get 1 or 2 extra points. The game went back and forth through the regular game clock and then all the way through 5 playoff games. Typically, the game lasts 40 minutes, but our game lasted nearly 80! Our poor USL refs are paid by the game too lol.

We will be playing in the semi-finals game next Sunday and if we win that we will proceed to the finals game… we have lost the last two semi-finals games our team has played in (Fall 2007 and Spring 2008), so hopefully we will make the leap this time!
