Holidays Suck
I like the idea of taking vacations, but I don’t like that we have assigned vacations where we are supposed to do certain things. I hate giving people cards, gifts or anything else when I am forced to do it. I would be much happier if I could give gifts and cards out of the kindly feelings in my heart rather than be socially obligated to do it. I am contemplating abdicating holidays from now on.. I’ll feast whenever I want, even if it isn’t Thanksgiving, I’ll hang up colorful lights in the summer and I’ll go Easter Egg hunting right now. No more giving mandatory presents at Christmas and celebrating the dozens of things that I don’t really care that much about. I will appreciate whatever I want to appreciate all the time, rather than one day a year. Screw you, Holidays.
