King of America: Aging Differences Between Men and Women
The way that American society views the aging of men is very different from the way we view the aging of women. Men generally hit their physical prime between the ages of 24 and 28, their sexual prime around 16 and their overall social prime around 40. Women generally hit their physical prime at 18, sexual prime a little later (depending on the person) and their social prime also at 18. When people see a man who has some grey hairs or is balding or visibly aging, he is thought to look “distinguished”. The same in a woman and she seems out of date or just plain old.
I think that society generally views men as becoming continuously more valuable until about the age of 40, but women hit their prime value at around 18 according to society and then decrease thereafter. Obviously as women become an equal factor to men in the workforce, this could change. However, our social mores tend to lag behind economic mores. Men are definitely favored by this attitude of society: their value is continuously increasing until 40, whereas women start decreasing at 18. I think this is what causes the stronger “biological clock” effect in women: to get the best value, they need to get married as soon as they reasonably can after 18. In my experience, women tend to start trying to get married at 18 unless they attend college (their value is still increasing, but then they want to marry at 22).
Please note that there is some data backing up my assertions: the average woman marries at 25 and the average man marries at 27. Perhaps this is why it is common for men to have a mid-life crisis at age 40… they have just peaked in value and their wives are worth significantly less…. so they get divorced, by a penismobile and remarry an 18 year old hottie who is also in her prime.
So King of America believes that he needs to find a woman 40-18=22 years younger than him for the optimal match. Where is the one year old singles bar?

They say there is no such thing as bad publicity. Look at Britney Spears- a bad pop/dance album with all of five repeated words from her sold tons of records. Perhaps appearing on Dateline with Chris Hansen would clear up any misunderstandings about the King of America.
The King of America should not be publicly known to be a chester molestor… he prefers his public to love him.

I completely agree with this article. You never fail to amaze me Mr. Joel. I personally think that men should get married when they are 40 to a stunning 22-23 year old. This way both parties have reached their prime and they are perfect matches. This way the women will have a stable, mature man to take care of them and the men will have a stunning wife to keep them company. It works out perfectly.

The difference between an older man and an older women is this. An older man usually wants to but frequently can’t and an older woman doesn’t always want to but is always able to.
A woman reaches her real sexual pinnacle in her early thirties. By then, she’s had experience, feels comfortable with her sexuality, knows what she wants and doesn’t want, and is an expert at sexual fulfillment. Maybe that is why older men like women who are early 20’s?
So the question would be, as an older woman, do I take a chance with an older man who probably won’t be able to or do I go with a younger man who is usually willing and most always able?

Good question! Do you want to deal with a younger man who may have maturity/commitment issues or do you want an older man who has performance issues? As a young man, I know what my advice to you would be, but you will have to decide for yourself. I have dated a couple of older women and I know that I was a pain in the ass lol. I guess it just depends on what you want/need, right?
