King of America Speaks out for Voluntary Polygamy/Polyamory

Polygamy and polyamory have received a bad rap in human history. Religious groups and weirdos have practiced a perverted version of both and have created an atmosphere of disgust and intolerance for both. When I become King of America, I will bring back the pure form of polyamory. Why? Because I’m not a player hater.

Polygamy is illegal in the United States because of a history of fringe religious groups that have manipulated it and created it into an abomination. The religious groups (such as the early Mormons) would force young teenaged girls to become the brides of sick old men. The political leaders of the time saw this and became angry and passed broad legislation banning people from having more than one partner. I agree with the early American leaders that these fringe religious groups should not be allowed to hijack love and twist it into something to help dirty old men get their creepy fingers onto little girls. When I am King of America, any group that practices such forced marriages will be in some very deep poo (they may end up as sports entertainment haha).

I think that it should be socially acceptable for people to have multiple lovers. It could be traditional polygamy, such as two or three women and one man or maybe a mixed group of three men and three women. A larger group would be better at maintaining a household, taking turns watching and teaching children, and keeping everyone thoroughly entertained. People should be free to pick and choose who and how they want to structure their relationships. If you just want to have a traditional marriage between a man and a woman, that’s fine by me. If you want to have ten men and twelve women in a giant mansion, that’s cool too. Personally, I want to be king of my household, just like I’m going to be King of America so I can be the only man. I will encourage bisexual women to join in the fun though. I think that its sad that society and religion has ingrained everyone so thoroughly with the idea that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. I think that many/most people if they were really given the opportunity would be much happier in a different arrangement. People should have the freedom of choice. Every time you make somebody’s decision for them, you close doors on potential roads to happiness. As long as these people don’t infringe on others’ rights to life, freedom and the pursuit of happiness, why should we try to control them? Let go of your old superstitions and religions and think about it logically. Quit being such a square, square.
