“Remainder” by Tom McCarthy

I just finished reading “Remainder” by Tom McCarthy. It is a novel about a man, who after he suffers a serious head trauma and receives a massive settlement to keep quiet about it, slowly goes mad. Or perhaps he slowly goes sane and the rest of us are the mad ones. I thought it was okay, but it was a fairly arduous read.

  1. Overall, I like your website. Just figured I’d suggest some good books for you. A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah is fantastic for non-fiction and for a funny book, you can try Big Trouble by Dave Barry or I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max. I think you would enjoy the Max book if you have not already read it.

  2. Roxy,

Thank you for your book recommendations. I actually have read Tucker Max’s website fairly extensively and really enjoyed it. Perhaps I will borrow his book from the Seattle Library and read it too!
